Riding to the Roof of the World

This mountain biking challenge offers the world's longest and steepest run – a non-stop downhill that starts from the "Roof of the World" - Lhasa and winds more than 1,500 kms down to the fertile rice fields of Nepal. Yes, it's a decent of more than 4,500m! The ride will mostly be on bicycles through the Tibetan plateau on gravel roads and few tarred roads and over spectacular mountain passes with views that will capture your imagination and leave a memory to last forever. However one needs to remember that Mountain biking on the highest roads in the world is a physically and mentally demanding challenge.

Cycling through the biggest and highest plateau in the world, marveling at the masterpiece of Mother Nature and adding icing to cake is the visit to Mount Everest Base camp (5,200m) the only trip in the world where you can visit Everest Base camp with a bicycle! It was here on the North Face that Reinhold Messenner began his successful solo ascent of Everest in 1980. We stay overnight during this journey in hotels and in tents.
